My condolences to the family and friends of the slain officer, and prayers for a speedy recovery for the officer who was wounded.

I just found out tonight that I have 'less than 6 degrees of separation' from the slain officer. He was the son-in-law of a Doctor here in town that a friend of mine is learning her internship from.

Damn but it is a small world.

I nearly asked about whether you knew/knew of him Bob but then remembered - Vegas is a big place!!! Indeed, small world - as is often the case.

It is one mega sad incident.
