SIG Magazine Shortage
I received an email from SIG regarding their magazine shortage. Effective today March 20, 2009 ALL new Sig pistols will ship with only one magazine. This is due to the extreme shortage in magazines being supplied to SIG by their third party supplier. SIG was worried that they would have guns ready for shipment and no magazines to go with them. Supposedly they will include a coupon for one free magazine to be shipped at a later date. Same price for the gun, only with one mag. Oh well, there isn't any ammo anyway.

Its absolutely rediculous! I cant find any 10rd. mags for the 220 or the 239.

As of today I have 10 mags for each Sig at home. (3) Sorry.

My XDm 9 came with 2 and I received 2 more free today with an extra mag holder. They were out of stock for a long time also.

Shop around and see if you can find Mec-Gar mags for your model. They (last I heard) were the vendor that was making the mags for Sig. I recently picked up a couple of fifteen round mags for my P228.

If they include a voucher, then they are telling the truth, if not then they are just cutting costs and passing them onto the consumer.

I've been worrying about finding such parts thinking high caps will be in demand if high cap bans are put back in place. I already have 4 13rd mags for my Glock 32. I'll probably buy a couple more next payday just to save from reloading mags as much at the range.
