Only .357 revolver I'm familiar with is the Ruger Speed Six, but it's suited me for 23 years now. Good Luck.

Another toot for the Ruger GP-100. Ruger makes a mighty stout revolver.
Mine is the 4" and I would never consider trading it. The price out-the-door may exceed your budget though.
My other must-have is the S&W 642. Smith is the worlds most popular revolver mfgr. and the 642 is the most popular one they make, so I have been told.

I have a six inch Trooper MkIII and am quite happy with it. I bought it used, from a friend, who had kind of neglected so the bluing is not what it should be. Action wise it is well worn and silky smooth. It doesn't point as naturally (for me) as my old 4" S&W model 10, but if I pay attention to what I am doing, it is quite accurate.
