The P239 is good but look at the P229, the P239 is under weight for her peramiters.
The P229 is a compact doublestack holding 13+1 in 9mm. It weighs 907 grams with mag. (empty I think) With the DA/SA trigger she gets 10 lb. DA pull, and 4.4 lb. SA pull. With the DAK trigger she gets a consistent 6.5 lb. pull. The grip width is 1.5 or 1.6 inches depending on model. That's 3.81cm or 4.06cm.

You really can't beat a Sig for quality, reliability, or functionality. IMO

The Sig is a great suggestion. Another to look at is an AR-24. It's basically a steel framed CZ-75. It has safety, so she can carry condition 1. The grip is pretty narrow for a double stack. It's heavier than the Glock, but it'll soak the recoil for her. Another option would be the CZ-75 P-01. It's about the same size as the G19, but with an aluminum frame. The aluminum frame and shorter slide/barrel should put it right between the Glock and AR-24 in weight.

After trying every gun at the range, my wife chose the HK P2000. She weighs 105lbs and is skinny as a twig. The P2000 seems to fit her hands well and she can rack the slide easily. She has the DA/SA version so it's a little tough on the first shot, but she can do it.

I swear, her guns cost more than mine.

Perhaps she has better taste than you? An HK P2000 is a great gun, that's what the border patrol is issued. What do you carry?

Im leaning towards a kt pf-9 for my wife. I dont know for sure but ive heard the recoil is a bit snappy. But you cant have it all in a gun. Do you want concealability, then it will be a light gun. If not, then you can opt for a heavier weapon. But in all actuality it is near impossible for a woman to carry a full size, or even some compact guns comfortably. Unless she dresses like a dude lol.

She likes the pf-9 lol. She also likes revolvers. But she wants the smallest lightest pistol she can get. She would probably like a deringer but i stress to her if shes going to carry it needs to be 9mm or bigger. She would love to carry our p3at or lcp and if her clothing wont allow anything else its better then nothing. But if she is dressed up she could fit something a bit bigger, i.e pf-9. So i think it will suite her needs. Even if she only carries it half the time and has the lcp or p3at the rest of the time.

That's why I married her!

I carry a XD40sc. Her shotgun costs double or triple what mine does too.

Actually, the reason her guns cost more is because she needs to look for guns she is comfortable with and can handle well. I got her a smaller auto loading 20 gauge shotgun so that it fits her better than a full size and it doesn't recoil much. Those aren't cheap. She got the HK because she could rack the slide much easier than any of the others we tried, except the 1911. Those aren't cheap either.

I was very careful not to pressure her into anything and let her try things at her own pace. That investment paid off and she likes to go shooting now. I'll gladly pay for whatever gun she wants as long as she has fun.
