does any one no which sigma models have a carbon barrel when i purchased mine i was told it was stainless and i have a 9ve and i just read in random site sigma had a "VALUE" model with a carbon barrel and i'm hoping that that's not what the "v" stands for and i wasn't lied to.

The VE should be a Enhanced model so should have the better Barrel.. But i could be Wrong

rperillo - I am no Sigma expert at all but - if you have the gun then a simple scratch test with barrel might help.
First off - if carbon steel then I'd imagine it has some finish - like bluing, or similar. An SS barrel will generally be self finish. If tho you use a scriber or similar and make a microscopic scratch on outside of chamber (hidden area) - then after degreasing, apply a small drop of cold blue. If SS then chances are the blue will not ''take'' to any obvious degree - whereas on carbon steel it should. Only my rambling thoughts!
