What about Stoeger? They have 24" 20 ga. models in both SxS and over-under.

I think Sixto was originally discussing his want for a pump gun, and stated he was normally a semi-auto lover. I guess I introduced the break-over gun into the discussion. For the record, I did "check out Stoeger", and from a few friends experiences decided to check out other guns.
sorry for sidetracking the original intent of the thread since I'm interested in the same ultimate goal as Sixto. surv |

No problem. I love talking about bird guns not matter the action.
I've never really had much luck with SxS or O/U. I don't know exactly why, but I seem to always do better with a pump or auto in the field.

I have always loved the sexy lines of a sleek SxS. I practically wasted the last three dove seasons trying to force myself to use a CZ Ringneck (12 ga - 26" bbl SxS). Beautiful gun for the money, but I could barely hit the broadside of the barn ..... from the inside... with it. Ended up selling it for enough to buy a very slightly used Beretta CX4 Storm with a few extras. This year I'll be primarily using my old Beretta AL2 for doves, and am considering taking my old Laurona 20-1/2 inch 20 ga SxS in case the birds are flying low. I've been thinking about another pump gun after having given my nephew the Wingmaster from my Dad's collection (the only pump gun I ever hunted with) after Dad died. Also kinda kicking around the idea of a Benelli. So many choices - so little time

I use a Beretta 391 for doves, they typically are flying high and fast around here. I think you'd really like a Benelli if your dove shooting is fast, but the Beretta does shoot a little softer.

I stopped by the best little mom and pop shop that has the best Browning selection I've ever seen to check out a BPS. Its ashame they have screwy hours, as they were closed today. I'm not sure when I'll have time again when they are open.
I did happen to find a NIB but older 1187 youth model. Its old enough to be from when they actually put out shotguns with wood stocks. I'm tempted to just pick that up. Oh well, favorite shotgun shop is closed, I'm done working for the day.... Looks like me and the dog are off to the field with a starter pistol for some training.
