AKs are not as reliant on lube. ARs are. A well-lubed AR with a good BCG will shoot rings around an AK...

Ill agree with both those.. From my experiences you could bury an AK47 in sand, pull it out 3 weeks later and it will shoot fine. I wouldnt try that with an M16A2, My M16A2 that I was issued if you sneezed on it she wouldnt like it lol. But shooting wise The M16A2 is a great weapon, just keep it clean!!
