He considered himself on the level of royalty...he had to have opulent things like golden guns....and toilets.

Not unless he died in the last couple of months. The last I heard he was still alive and kicking. So he probably would spit if he saw them.

well you should see his palaces, he had many many homes. and believe me after seeing them you would understand why he ran this country into the ground and why the iraqi people were so dam broke and poor. It was all about him..

Here is a recent Quote from Kalashinikov

Quote:
"I'm proud of my invention, but I'm sad that it is used by terrorists," he said on a visit to Germany, adding: "I would prefer to have invented a machine that people could use and that would help farmers with their work - for example a lawnmower."

Quote:
"It is the Germans who are responsible for the fact that I became a fabricator of arms. If not for them, I would have constructed agricultural machines. (...) If someone asks me how I can sleep at night knowing that my arms have killed millions of people, I respond that I have no problem sleeping, my conscience is clean. I constructed arms to defend my country."
And yes he apprently thinks the Gold Plated guns are disgusting. I think he stll lives in St Petersburg.
