The spring will be in plain sight once the new ones arrive. You'll wonder why you didn't see it before.

Thanks for the solidarity. Randomly oscillating black holes that small parts fall into suck. I realized last night that the spring might have gotten inside the frame and gotten stuck in the internal components. So, this means I have to disassemble the whole thing again just to see if it's stuck behind the trigger drawbar under the hammer or something.

I have an appointment with the firearms instructor tomorrow morning to qualify with my Ruger to add it to my permit. I'm going to the range tonite to run a few rounds through it to be sure that the new 'reduced power' hammer spring from Wolff works reliably. Should the lightweight spring not function reliably I'll be taking the other 2 springs (#11 & #12 lb springs) from the spring kit as well so that the Ruger is in the best fighting shape she can be.

Good thing I finished the homemade holster for it yesterday. Maybe I'll take a few pics of it (if you guys are nice to me) and post them. We'll have to see about that because I am in no shape to do that right now.

Does that mean that you have to list any gun you are going to carry in your permit? What happens when you get a new gun, do you have to update your permit and get a new one with the "right" gun listed?

I once dropped a quarter onto a shag carpet and immediately looked down but I could not find it! On the other hand, I once took apart a laptop computer and when I put it back together I magically had extra screws. Funny that!

Good luck, and I hope the correct springs arrive in time. It sucks having a permit which must list which guns you will carry! Thank the lord Missouri didn't do that.
GREAT idea...I had never thought of that...

YOU are a prophet. Happens to me all the time. I would lose or misplace something in my basement and I would tell our resident ghost in a loud voice " I sure wish I could find my (whatever)" and I would return a day or two later and bam! there it was.

If you've never lost a small part detail cleaning your guns, then you probably own a bunch of dirty guns.
