It is essentially a new version of the Ruger 10/22T (Target) styled after the Ruger M77 Hawkeye Tactical, which was also launched this year.

Ruger 10/22 VLEH Target Tactical Rifle

The 10/22 VLEH1 features a Hogue OverMolded stock, in my opinion the best for the Ruger 10/22. The barrel is 16" heavy .920" profile match-grade barrel with target crown. It has the same trigger group as the Ruger 10/22T, which is much superior to the standard factory trigger. To top it all off, a bipod is included.

The VLEH configuration is almost identical to my favorite 10/22 configuration. It makes perfect sense for hunting and general plinking. My only complaint would be the lack of iron sights, although few people will miss them.

Specifications
Caliber .22 LR

This looks to be a very interesting product offering, IMHO.
It would be one gun that could fill multiple applications above and beyond low cost training.
Possibly a good survival gun as well as even a small game and pest control gun including for hunting coyote and even turkey (!) as with the right applied ammunition.

Only though if the barrel proves to be _ACCURATE_.

Pretty sweet looking! I'm an avid 10/22 fan myself. I've done work on both of my Target models. Tactical? What I would like is one with the integral sound suppressor actually. Price is out of this world in my book. I already have a Hogue overmolded stock that I used with a BC carbon fiber barrel and doubt the whole thing went over 4lbs. I had to do some work on my Hogue overmolded stock to eject the factory ten round magazines actually since the opening was undersized and fiberglass. Interesting. Compare costs with user aftermarket mods. The 10/22 is just about as easy to be modified by the end user as the Glock pistol to my thinking. In my opinion....anyone can do this mod with a stock Ruger 10/22T ($325 at the most) with aftermarket parts (just like portrayed here as a factory offering), for a lot less money, and you can find the Hogue stocks on EBay from time to time (at most spend $60 or less). I'm not saying the factory offering is ridiculous.........just the price. My 2¢
