-Whenever a Glock is drawn you hear a cocking mechanism
-Whenever a Glock is lowered you hear it De-Cock
-Cops racking the slide of their gun AFTER they have someone at gunpoint.

These actions are supposed to stop the firearm from shooting, but you would have to be faster than a speeding bullet.
I said it worked, I didn't say I was going to use the method.

Pretty much any gun handling on Burn Notice. They have lots of cool guns, but they're racking slides all the time and the chambered round is never ejected. Where do they go?

I recently watched "The Rough Riders" with Tom Berenger playing Teddy Roosevelt. I thought the movie was good, but had to laugh when the Spanish soldiers loaded a belt in a Maxim gun with the cartridges facing backwards.

The fact that in movies everyone (ok, maybe just the bad guys and no name characters) dies immediately from one hit, including just a pistol round. Unless you get a CNS shot, it doesn't work that way, because its usually from loss of blood.

The good guys always just get little flesh wounds though, some reason to take their shirt off or something, and it doesn't affect them until the finale finish.

I'm still trying to get my GLOCK to make the C-O-L-T cocking sound. I know it will work because I've seen it so many times in the movies. Maybe if I hold my finger on the trigger while I rack the slide. Maybe....Maybe... I dunno.

And how about the way Spencer Reed carries his weapon on Criminal Minds? The FBI would not let him carry his weapon where it could be easily taken like that. Love the show but that drives me nuts....

You would need a handgun with a 18'' barrel to make some of the shots they pull off by the way.

Boy I guess I really don't feel like watching TV tonight...
My all time favorite was a shot on a hunting show. The shooter was up in a tripod deer stand, shooting a 4'barreled .44 mag, with open sights and dropped a Texas whitetail at over 100 yards with one shot . Add to that, the deer was moving slowly crossing a path.

Then there's the opposite.

The so-called "professional" waddling around in a half-squat with their gun held two-handed, directly in front of their stomach...

I've always enjoyed the 50 round, 12 gauge pumps. Now those are tough customers, especially when the 100 pound girl fires 00 from the hip!
