Crossdraw crossdraw crossdraw.

Not many people do it in real life, but almost everyone in the movies does it. And with big ole' revolvers no less.

Finger on the trigger anytime the gun is out.

Another one that bugs me are the people in movies who are just regular, everyday people who look like they've never touched a gun in their life.

Yet after they grab the gun left by the bad guy or the one given to them by another good guy, they suddenly become firearms experts, with perfect stance, grip, and sighting!

How about when in a gunfight the the pistol is locked in the open position then in the next frame they are firing again without reloading.

That's how I run the bolt.

All the while, holding their infuriatingly weak-minded prejudices, in real life, about the nature of defensive weapons in the hands of upstanding people.

Such is Hollywood.

Always making the "cocking" sound before firing or confronting someone, only thing is there using a Glock

A couple of you have reminded me of more of mine.

In The Terminator, John and Sarah are driving and the Terminator is chasing them on a motorcycle and he's doing that "oh so cool" thing where he's one-handed pumping the 12-guage with that twisting motion. Never mind that he clearly bought a Franchi that can be loaded by pump action or semi-automatic.

Silencers. For those who don't know, silencers don't actually make a gun any less loud; they only disguise the sound. Real silencers make a very metallic-sounding "BBBRRRIIINNNNGGGG!!!" sound, not the "Psew!" Star Wars type of sound like in the media.

All of those + cops who obviously don't know anything about guns (Finger on the trigger, pointed up in the air when there's a second floor, etc.) and action heroes quoting "facts" about the BG's gun that are BS to build dramatic tension
