Ruger SR 22
Wanting to know what the thought on the SR 22 was? I know they are just a 10/22, but still interested. Would it be cheaper to just build something yourself?

Well, like you said, it's a 10/22. You can walk in to almost any walmart in the country and walk out with a 10/22 for around $200. I've only seen the SR 22 in a gun store, and he had a sticker price of $550 for it. Do I think there's $350 worth of parts on the SR 22? No, I don't.
To be honest, I'm kind of sold on the S&W M&P 15/22 for a plinker after handling it, an SR 22, and a GSG-5 two weeks ago. I just liked the feel of it the best of the three.

I handled all 3 of the above and decided on the COLT .22 M4 Carbine. It "felt" more like my other AR's. About the same weight, same controls, same look, etc. Plus it is made in Germany - you know those Germans make good stuff - just ask Vince on Sham-Wow.
