Well...you'll never guess in a million years.......A Glock 17 with Trijicons, GD JHP's, or my wife, she with her Glock 26, GD JHP's. She's playing with the idea of adding a CT laser grip.....

I'll take Springfield loaded model for $400

My Springfield, the 1911 has 100 years of action to back up it's reputation. I've got six eight round mags. If I need more than that I'm in it to deep.

I like what Sam Elloits character says in "We Were Soldiers"
When Mel Gibson's character remarks about the SgtMjr only carrying a 1911A1, he replies that if he needs a M16, there will be plenty on the ground.

In that same aspect, if I ever need more than 2 mags of .45 there will be plenty of others next to me to provide covering fire.

Having seen the ballistics of the 9mm ball round used by the Military I can honestly say I'm not impressed with the round, the five7 is nice but ammo is too scarce. if the SHTF there will be plenty of .45acp...

Therefore I will definately stick with my 1911.

H&K USP fullsize 45. I have 6 12rd mags. Streamlight gunlight on the rails. Tritium sights. That'll do until I can reach my Benelli.

A 1911

A gun that's design that is just as effective as the day it was invented about a hundred years later is a tool that I would rely on through out my life. Especially figuring the availibility to get replacement parts.
