I would suggest reading up on the Glock $0.25 trigger job, learning to detail strip your pistol, and applying the same concepts. Flitz and a muslin/felt bob, or even the med-fine rubber polishing tips won't damage your parts, unless you go crazy. Hint: don't "round" sharp edges, but lightly "break" the edge to make sure things are smooth. Flat surfaces should **SHINE**. Follow up with a Wolff kit, and I'm pretty sure you'll be much happier.

I wouldn't screw with a carry gun. either let a smith fix it or buy a diffrent handgun. Nothing wrong with poly framed pistols, you just got a poor example compared to a Glock or similar.

The Wolff spring makes a big difference in a Sigma. Just be sure to check/test with your carry ammo - should be fine, but the spring does reduce the striker's hit on the firing pin.
I put one in a friend's pistol, and after 30 minutes of figuring out how to disassemble the thing, it was about a one-minute job...... which is usual for me. |
