Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

He'd probably be far less pleased to know that I would actually be happier carrying something akin to a paring knife. Economical, replaceable, lends itself well to forward/reverse/edge-in/edge-out.

I would actually like to see the attempt on this. Because Knives don't have serial numbers on them. Plus it adds another COOL letter to BATFE they woudl now be BATFEK or they could try EAT BFK And it would be interesting to see how they try to register them, knock down the door with Tactical Samuris because if BAT FEK really wanted to make it some what fair they would have to match force on force. So if they are looking for a emerson they would have to dress like Ninjas with chain mail as they're protection.

Please note my sarcasm

Why? Because tactical knives are scary looking with scary features. Nevermind the fact that the 8" Chef's knife has a bigger blade or the 10" Bread knife has a serrated edge that can slice through an ice block.

I remember a class I once attended many moons ago on Okinawa by a fella in the 1/1st SFG(A). The things we were taught to do with tire irons and screwdrivers would make a liberal nuts. However....liberals want to feel secure that they can tell us what to do and make us do it by force and not allow us to stop them with nasty things such as guns and knives. Whats next.....my hand made longbow?

Don't laugh- go to GB and walk around with a Spyderco clip showing from your pocket. See how long you amble about unmolested by the Bobbies. IOW, if you don't have your knife-card, you better not be carrying a knife. Of course, it won't be long before the realization that there is no reason for people to have "types" of knives at all.....

So, when will they try a ban on the ultimate weapon, the well focused and trained human brain? Let's face it with one of these humans have been causing damage and defending themselves from attack with almost limitless implements for tens of thousands of years now. Surely there must be a way to prevent this!

Oh, yeah, PC Liberalism. How could I forget?

Knife Rights and Gun Rights go hand in hand.

I just read an article in Tactical Knives with reference to this organization.

I just signed for the organization as a member.

quote unknown author "best to prepare for war during peace rather trying to prepare for war during the war"

yes, a new organization, being a NRA member for years, not that agree with everything the NRA does by any means, I did notice on the web site, Former NRA President Sandra Froman:

Join Sandra Froman (NRA President) as a Knife Rights Charter Member
"This is a commendable effort to protect the freedoms we both hold dear. I am pleased to support your efforts by joining Knife Rights as a Cornerstone Charter Member."

-- Sandy Froman

along with a one page letter from the NRA DEC 2006, supporting this organization ...

I have no other ties to this organization

"Asshat",......... God, do I love that term. It just 'bout sums up most of the individuals I have to deal with in my profession, and it describes politicians and sheeple, too.

Yup. You'd be amazed at the damage that can be wrought be a simple rolled up newspaper. In some of the tough schools where I've worked, I simply rolled up the local section of the Miami Herald and carried it under my arm to and from my class room. I never had to use it, but I knew how. Maybe that showed in my face and my bearing. My Aikido sensei once cleaned house in Central Park with a gang. 7th Dan Aikido Master and a rolled up newspaper vs a dozen gang bangers and it's no contest.
