| Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver. |

What he said...
I just got mine today. I had it shipped to the PD, because an adult has to sign for it & I wasn't sure I'd be home. I got the utility model & I couldn't be happier. I'll probably keep it as a neck knife for the time being, as I usually carry 2 other knives on me. Time will tell me how I'll end up carrying it. For $69, I can't complain. With extra paracord & shipping, it was just under $80, but it is a semi-custom knife.

For what it's worth, I said that the utility HAK was made out of 440a stainless steel. That's what was listed on the site, on the article of the beginning of the utility knife series.
Well, upon closer examination of my knife, I noticed that it's made out of 440c. I checked out the site, & noticed that when you log on & look at what's available, it lists "440c stainless." Oh well, so much for being alert!

Congrats on getting your HAK, I received mine a couple of weeks ago. I opted for the Brock Midnight Tiger Claw which is great by the way, I did not have to wait long since they had one in my size in stock. I also did the paracord and I purchased the belt wrap to attach the sheath to your belt. Concepts is great but the knife has been popping out when wearing a vest and getting in and out of the car. I thought I lost on a trip today but luckily it was laying on the inside of my car door. My only complaint so far, I may have to take a hard look at the pocket sheath.
Does anyone have a pocket sheath for their HAK? Wondering how it works. Good luck with yours. |

Ive gotten 2 HAKs in the last few months. A utility and a claw.
I would advise anyone to look in the "available now" section to keep from having to wait what could be a year or so for your knife. I was lucky and found they had a claw in my size. Utility HAKs are pretty common in every size, but again, you have to pick them out of the available now, if you dont you have to wait while they make you a new one from scratch. These are great knives, the clip option (bro clip) can be reversed as to allow you to put the entire sheath inside a belt loop, and it grips it with the teeth/clamp so it cant come loose. ![]() It doesnt look like a knife and is very easy to whip out if need be. Because of the natural punching motion these really feel good and can do a lot of damage. Also i cant see how someone could disarm you very easily. |

Just wanted to add that I paracord wrapped my HAK yesterday. Even my fumble fingers could do it in under five minutes. As I expected, it made the knife fit me even more comfortable. I'm still carrying it around my neck. I've used it a couple of times to open packages, etc. This item is, as my grand dad used to say, "handy as a pocket on a shirt."

Ive got a Claw made of the S30V steel which I para cord wrapped over the wrap it came with. Very comfortable, and dang near impossable to be dis-armed. Im waiting now for a satin Hybrid I ordered months ago. Ive carried my Claw every day since it arrived. Great Knife!

I'm hoping mine will arrive soon, seem to be stuck in their shipping dept.
My DOT has not moved in several weeks now. |
