Well maybe I was too harsh on CRKT recently for introducing the AutoLAWKS system on their folders (I still think it is an unnecessary feature).
I bought a CRKT Slide Sharp online this week, it's a sharpening system that uses two ceramic rods amongst other items, I didn't buy it from CRKT but from a store on eBay. It arrived with broken rods, it had been packaged well but ceramic rods are fragile and the CRKT case didn't support them for their full length.
Realizing it was not the retailers fault I contacted CRKT via email this afternoon to explain that although they weren't likely to lose my loyalty to their brand I was still disappointed that the items had arrived damaged.
Remember, I hadn't bought anything direct from CRKT.
I asked if I could somehow purchase spare ceramic rods and if they could notify me as to payment details.
I got an email straight away saying that a free set of rods were being mailed to me immediately.

10/10 for CRKT.

I now feel compelled to buy a few more of their knives just to express my appreciation. Maybe a Kommer Kaiyuh or a MAK-1.

Oh and the Sharp Slide works great, good product.

I've been thinking about picking up a straight bladed or combo straight/Veff serrated My Tighe, but I want to handle one before I invest. I guess I should take a trip into Boston this weekend while I'm in MA to go peruse some steel shops.
