| Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver. |

Help me id this Benchmade.
Hey all!
My Pop gave me this Benchmade, I removed the pocket clip, attatched a lanyard and cannabalized a coldsteel folder for the double sided thumbstud. It originally had a right hand only thumbstud on it. I EDC the knife but I couldn't find a model # anywhere on the knife, so does anyone know which model this is? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

I don't know, but the blade looks like it could be a Snody designed knife. The other interesting thing about the knife, is that it's a frame lock, which is a very good & strong system (If done properly, of course).

It is pre-Snody. This was Benchmade's answer to the Sebenza but I cant remember the model name. It came out about 8 yrs ago.

No problem.
I used to be a real blade-guy, especially before we left CA! :) Not that I like them any less now. As Knuckledragger said, it was Benchmade's answer to the Sebenza. I suspect it was discontinued due to the cost of titanium. Benchmade now prefers to use the less expensive (and easier to machine) aluminum for most models, saving titanium for their higher end stuff. B. |
