Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry concealed also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

Talon CQ Impact

I saw mention of this on another thread that has since been closed. I bought a few of these, one for my wife, and I find them incredibly functional. Also the customer service is excellent. If anyone is looking for a knife alternative check these out.

Interesting concept. Seems to be a cross between a Kubaton and a Kerambit.

Have you had any problems with the point that sticks out to the side? Looks like it might get in the way of the draw and hang up on the pocket seam or poke through a pocket if the pants aren't loose.

I haven't had any trouble with the "side point" catching on anything. The picture on the site makes the protrusion look 'sharper' than it actually is.
My wife carries her Talon in her purse and places it her hand while crossing parking lots etc. (she has the carabiner attached).

Why as a knife alternative, how 'bout as an addition?

Personally I'd take the $20 bucks you'd spend on that and buy 2 or 3 kubatons or a couple of the Worden Travel-wrenches or Keating Stingers. This one just doesn't do much for me...
