Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry concealed also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

Kershaw 'assisted open" is an awesome choice and have many shapes and sizes to choose from.

For the most part, anytime I leave the house, I have a Ka-Bar tdi knife and a SAK on. The handle shape of the Ka-bar allows it to be drawn like a pistol, and the blade is very municipal friendly, at only 2.31 inches long. Also, you can't beat the price ($25-30 before shipping). Even when I can't carry a gun (in a bar for example) I still carry a TDI and a Surefire or Coast tac light.

That being said, CRKT, Kershaw, Spyderco and Gerber make some decent, inexpensive knives that can be used for self defense.

It is difficult to beat the Spyderco model IV FRN Endura, fits well in most people's hands, fairly good lock, looks common place (not scary) and is low cost.

The Delica is too small for many people's hands IMHO but is an excellent knife for the right hand.

Depends on how much money you want to spend and what you like. I'd look at a bunch of different one and make a decision on that after doing some research on the brand. Sorry I'm not much help here.

I have two Kershaw Ken Onion (straight edge/non-serrated) assisted open knives. Great knives.
