Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry concealed also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

TDI Last Ditch Knife

Does anyone have experience with the TDI LDK?

I'm thinking about picking one up for myself and one for the girlfriend. The girlfriend is under 21 so this would be her first line of defense.

I want something small and light so that it cuts down on the number of excuses the girlfriend would have for carrying it and I want something, as the name implies, I can go to in a last ditch situation.

What does everyone think?

I have that one as well as the TDI 1480, which is the larger model with a 2.31 inch plain blade. I really like it, with one caveat: it is very small.

When I say small, I mean tiny. The blade is not even two inches long. It makes a good, "Im about to be pulverized", absolute last ditch weapon that one can grasp between fingers and deliver punches with. It is so tiny that it even can be used as a keychain attachment.

That said, I like it. But I would recommend getting the larger TDI. Easier to hold, small, municipal-friendly blade, and (if your the BG) hard to take away. And still only $25-30 before shipping. Heck, do what I do, and get both for her. You should be able to get both for under $50 shipped from vendors like bladematrix.tv or lapolicegear.com.
