Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry concealed also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

Indeed. Before guns, a big blade was a soldiers weapon of choice on the battlefield. With good reason.

Canned food lids make impressive improvised weapons. I am going to be more careful when I take the dogs for late night walks when recycling is set out.

Couldn't make it all the way through the photos. I swear, I think I'd rather be shot than stabbed/slashed.

If you study the history of weapons you will see that as the handguns got better the blades got smaller.

I carry a blade or two, one fixed, as well as a pair of handguns. Each weapon serves a purpose, and it's not for prying, hammering or screwing stuff.

Back in the days when I trained a lot with edged weapons I saw some research that indicated that when facing an opponent with even basic street effective knife skills you are less likely to survive it than facing a person of the same skill level with a pistol. Wish I still had the contact for the info it was an eye opener. Knives are very, very effective in trained hands. Downright scary in the hands of a lunatic or someone on drugs.

Wow... makes me glad I carry a gun everywhere. I won't be one of those victims... These also show that the human body can be a lot more resilient then one thinks.

Thanks, I had 35 already were some are repeats and some are new. I use them in my edge weapons class to show what an edge weapon can do.

the link has been updated (more pics added). They say that they intend to continue to add to the list.
