Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry concealed also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

I don't even know what to say. Wow. Maybe I'll work on drawing a little faster now.

Aghhh! Instructive and not very conductive for a nice breakfast or any other meal if you think about it.
Thanks for posting it.

Absolutely what I was thinking. This is exactly why that is part of training. This has served as a gruesome but vivid reminder.

Hey, I have a couple of those, including a hatchet hole in my skull. Have seen more than a few. Knives are popular down south, it's everything in those pics and than some. It is very personal on both ends. Thanks for the link I'm going to be using it as an educational wake up tool.

What in the name of God was used on those two woman with the million and a half chest and torso injuries? Those are definitely not knife wounds. Tools I suppose? Anyway, the throat one looks real, but that wrist ("self-inflicted") I doubt too. Seems fake to me, but I've been wrong before.

Educational, thanks Kenpo. Wish there was a compiled list of what actual trained defensive knife use does, since the vast majority of injuries we might encounter are from untrained use. I wonder what's more effective.

Actually those wounds look like classic "sewing machine" knife attacks. People who learn their knife fighting in prison often favor this strategy. They usually rush in close and try to pin arms while delivering short high speed repetitive stabs at whatever part of the body they can reach, often delivering 30 or more quick stabs before breaking off.

Gruesome. I hope I never have to do that someone.
None the less, I think I'll always be carrying at least one knife with me. Even a small edge is an edge.
