Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry concealed also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

I am in the market for a high quality, 3 inch blade, assisted opener, 100 bucks maximum, not metal handles, what ya all got that really kicks butt.

Right now I carry a Mini Griptilian...ant that is the type of knife I like!!!!

Spyderco Native.

I know, I know, I can't follow instructions, it's not assisted open. But it's just as fast and a great value at about $85!

The Kershaw 1550ST it is assited opener, quicker than a switchblade and easy to open, less than $100 and sharp as can be. The blade is 3 1/4.
I carry this everywhere...

I just bought the Benchmade Sequal 707. I really like it and have the griptillian as well. I like the 707 because it's a bit flatter. I wear mine IWB at 5:00. I got mine for $90 something.

Kershaw seems to make decent assisted opening knives. I own the Blur which is a bit bigger than you are asking about. But the Chive I used to own would be about right.

How about the CRKT Mini My Tighe? 3.0" blade with OutBurst assisted opening for an MSRP of $80. I posted about my Mini a while ago... CRKT Mini My Tighe

Here are some pics:

I really like this knife, so much that I bought a few extras in the event something were ever to happen to it. I rotate it for EDC with my Kershaw Scallion. My friend turned me on to the CRKT My Tighe but I was not a fan of the AutoLawks and it was a little larger than what I wanted. Then CRKT came out with the Mini My Tighe which had a smaller blade (3") and lacked the unwanted AutoLawks and it was love at first sight!

If you're going to go with a Kershaw, stick with one of the models with a frame-lock...AFAIC, the rest of them suck.
