| Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry concealed also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver. |

Question for you Iowans
My daughter works at a mall in Iowa City. Sometimes she gets off work late and I'm concerned about her walking to her car and the drive home.
Carrying a gun is out of the question, trust me on that one. I want to get her a Kimber LifeAct but I don't know what the rules in Iowa are about such devices. Edited to add: Just discovered the State Regulations on Kimbers website. It says there are no restrictions on purchase in Iowa. It does not go into detail about local regulations if any.

I'm not a Hawkeye, but I do have property there (bird hunting is great) and like what QK posted, OC is GTG.

Iowa City is one of the tightest counties in the state. Issuance of permits is virtually unheard of, and carry on the U of I campus may be verbotten.
Is the Life Act the pressurized OC thing-a-mah-jigger? If it uses primers it may be regulated differently than 'regular' OC.
