Knives & Other Weapons Most people that concealed carry also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

tx!!
I like the SOG, all though it is just a tad small for my hands...but it works great, spring is reliable (not to strong or soft) and the blade is an AUS8 blade (very sharp and holds it's edge)...for about $45, it's a fine compact carry knife.

The Buck, it's a Tempest, but a design exclusive to Cabelas, which was were I picked it up. I believe it was about $70 on sale...it's really "hefty", feels comforting in your hand. The ASAP semi-auto action is rock solid...great knife!

As for the sub $20 knives? Some are crap, some not so bad, but folders are always fun (plus I'd rather screw around with and break/mess up a $20 knife instead of a $100 one)

Here are a few more:

Yup

Great compact knife...the blade seems delicate, but it's very strong and durable!

The SOG Trident is my primary carry knife, the S.A.T (SOG Assisted Technology) allows this knife to open quickly and effectively, I have had this knive for about 8 months and with everyday use at my job (Fire/EMS) it still holds a factory sharp edge. MSRP is listed at $110 but if you shop arround you can find them from $40 to $70 new.

I have been carrying a Gerber Applegate Fairbairn mini covert for awhile and really like the way it conceals easy in the pocket if I am out somewhere and don't want my knife to be seen clipped to my pocket.

No Kershaw in your collection? Nice grouping though...

middle row, right above the one with the wood scales...If I'm not mistaken, it's a Kershaw Vapor (if it ain't it's a shameless knockoff).

I'm ALWAYS up for another knife though...mostly in the $20 or less category...it's becoming an addiction
I've got the same Benchmade Monochrome in silver, and love it. Nice choice!

They are almost as evil as guns. Every once in a while I find myself drooling over something pretty on ebay.
I have been carrying a CRKT m16 for the last 2 years. I love it. Sharp, nice size and weight, nice tight clip for the back pocket.
If I had more uses for knives besides the occasional camping or hunting trip, I know I would have more than the half dozen or so I have. I love them but I cant justify the money because they end up sitting on my bookshelf.
I got a nice sog seal pup awhile ago that has to be one of my favorites for walks in the woods.

FYI you can just call kershaw and have them send you the torsion bar then just replace it yourself. I have only had 1 torsion bar break on a leek that was a few years old. They sent me a new one in a few days, I replaced it and it was good as new.
