Knives & Other Weapons Most people that concealed carry also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

Benchmade Resistor -- who knows about it?

I saw this fixed blade as one of Benchmade's offerings. At $100+, do you think it's worth a buy?

Benchmade make a great knife. I would have to hold it. Like guns it needs to fill right in my hand. With that 2 cents worth, yes it is probably worth it, in my book anyway.

I haven't handled that particular knife but I agree, as a general rule, benchmade's are pretty solid production knives and tend to be appropriately priced. This one has 154cm steel and a G10 handle, so it should be tough and hold an edge well.

If the knife suits your specific needs, I don't think you'd go wrong.

Yennnh. It's the fixed version of the Snody folder. At the price-point, I would say you're getting a decent value for the money, as long as you recognize that the sheath probably needs to be replaced with something more fitting and lower profile (unless you're carrying MOLLE, etc..)

For about the same, you can get a genuine custom from Mark Goldsworthy Knives or a maker on blade forums. My $.02.
