Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

Any body have one?

I just ordered a Ka Bar Last ditch Knife and was wondering if anyone else had one and what your thoughts are on them. I have a CCW permit but would like something to carry in those other places . Thanks

Just Got it in today and not sure where I am going to place on my person but it is small enough to completely conceal behind my belt strong side. I am Impressed with the quality of this knife, very sharp and I believe the name says it all. Last ditch. maybe you are rolling around on the ground and have not gotten to your gun or you are in a place where they are This will probably at least give me the opportunity to do some damage quickly. thanks .

Dont put it on your strong side, put it on your weak side.
The idea is to be able to grab it with your off hand and be able to stike a cut in one smooth motion across the hand of whoever is trying to grab your gun.

That is exactly what it was designed for.

If you do get your gun out, and someone grabs your hand or arm and pins it, same thing. Off hand grab with a cut that uses a mimium amount of movement. That is why the handle is at such an odd angle to the blade, a quick grab and drag results in a serious cut and possibly saving your life ,so that you could post your experience here on this forum.
