Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

Can't tell from the website, is it an assisted opener?

If it's an A/O, and I can switch the grips to something else besides pink after I buy it, I'm down good cause.

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

It has the axis lock system but I don't think it comes with any of the Benchmade assisted opening devices.

Hey don't knock it. You could make a fortune on a whole other underserved market... AR furniture customized for the femine side of the market... Who knows... might be a good way to get the significant other into the hobby.

In Japan the color pink is associated with masculinity and virility.

Additionally take a read of this in regard to America...
Quote:
Pink in gender
* In Western culture, the practice of assigning pink to an individual gender began in the 1920s[3]. From then until the 1940s, pink was considered appropriate for boys because it was the more masculine and decided color while blue was considered appropriate for girls because it was the more delicate and dainty color[4][5]. Since the 1940s, the societal norm apparently inverted so that pink became appropriate for girls and sometimes boys today. blue appropriate for boys, a practice that has continued into the 21st century[6].

I personally have zero issue with wearing pink.
Daily I wear a bracelet that has alternating shades of pink colored wooden beads and four white beads with the letters 'DADA' amongst them that my daughter made for me last year and asked that I wear for her. I swore I'd wear it everyday everywhere, and I do...even to the range and wherever.
Not once has any male asked me about as much although I've had many women comment to it and say it's "cute". :p
The pink says nothing more about me than if they were colored yellow might indicate I'm a coward, as folk in the old days used to also think...which today is laughable.

Color is what you make of it, IMHO, and this opportunity is for a good cause.
