WTS/WTT Colt Cobra - 1st Issue - VA
The Colt Cobra is the lightweight alloy framed version of the Detective Special. It weighs a scant 15oz and holds 6rds of .38SPL instead of the 5rds of the more common J-Frame .38's. Jack Ruby used a 1st Issue Cobra to kill Lee Harvey Oswald. This particular one was manufactured in 1961, it has some finish wear (I'd class it about 85% remaining), but the cylinder has zero play in it both rotationally and fore to aft when in full lock-up (which is the way you want a Colt to be). The previous owner bobbed the hammer, but it still has the original grips installed. I have added a brand new set of Tyler T-Grips to fit my hand better. All things considered though I'd really much rather have a 9mm (think G-26 or G-19) or a small .45ACP, or a .357 lever gun. I'd like to trade for either one (I can add some cash) or I'd sell it for $425 shipped in the lower 48. $400 FTF in Virginia
