Don't you love it? I bet most parents bring their kids and want you to fix them (the kids). Nothing to do with mom being a crack head, and dad beating her every night at bedtime.

I started as a Respiratory Therapist at KUMC working primarily in the Burn Unit and neonatal ICU.
Then became a National Paramedic/ metro Firefighter for 15 years until injuried in the line of duty. Now disabled. To all of you in EMS....watch those injuries...they can really take you out of the game.

Now I am gearing up to start a internet business. Making custom shaped chocolate candy. Items in Law Enforcement....Firefighting...and Medical.
Anyone what a chocolate gun or handcuffs? Maybe a firetruck or bandage? I will have a separate site for more "adult" shapes too.
I will let you all know when it gets off the ground.

I work for a law enforcement agency teaching computers to the officers and administration personnel. I write my own manuals to teach the Microsoft Office products and proprietary software we use.

Not all of our families are like this. Most are just ineffective or inadequate. In this model of therapy, parents are taught how to manage the problems. We also go to their homes. All of them are court ordered to participate and the judges back us up. Its pretty intense, we visit the homes several times per week. I rarely talk to the kids. MST is cutting edge in the mental health world with effectiveness backed up by research and endorsed by the DOJ and NIMH as being highly effective for this population.
