By day, structural engineering.. Which requires that I occasionally visit less than favorable neighborhoods to inspect the structures of inhabited and uninhabited buildings where I often run into less than favorable people and situations.

By night, professional musician which requires that I am often loading and unloading my gear late at night in other less than favorable locations that cause me to run into less than favorable people and situations.

hence my desire to carry...

A police officer who I was speaking to when I was getting my CCW tried to talk me out of actually carrying a gun on a regular basis by telling me that maybe I should just get a job where I'm not placing myself in those types of situations. I asked him if he carries a firearm while on duty. "Of course" and he laughed and gave me a funny face and didn't seem to get my point. And I laughed back..

I work for a large national bank in the Correspondent Lending Division (mortgages). For some reason they don't allow carry on the job... hmmmmm.

For the last 27 years I have been the chief engineer for a rural electric cooperative. However I am planning on retiring at the end of August and have already started my own company doing two way radio communications sales and service mostly for public safety agencies. One big reason I got my permit is that I have to visit tower sites by myself at odd hours in not so nice locations.
