Public Ranges in Denver

Folks, I have to go to Denver on business in the middle of November. I am planning on bringing my carry piece with me (first time, via the airline/TSA check-through process).

I would like to know of any friendly, inexpensive (if possible), open-to-the-public pistol ranges in the Denver area where I can practice my skills a bit while I'm up there.

I plan on being there three days and I'll be renting a car, so getting around shouldn't be a big problem as long as it's not too involved.

Any suggestions, folks?

Randy, I like going to "The Shootist" at 2890 S. Galapago St. in Englewood (303)781-3382...small, friendly, family owned gun store with 10 shooting lanes in the lower part of the store.

Hey, thanks, Team American!

I'll check'em out. I already printed the driving directions off of yahoo from my hotel to "The Shootist".

Do you have any experience with the "Silver Bullet" in Wheat Ridge?

I am a member of both Silver Bullet and The Shootist. I really prefer the Shootist best. I usually shoot there 3-4 times a month.

SB only has 5 lanes, and not very well vented. You also have to tape or staple your targets to the carrier because the clips are long gone. Targets and ammo also cost more at SB.
