A perfect way to perfect your accuracy. Great pellets are $6-8 per 500, and you can do it in your garage (or in the house if you have a VERY understanding wife). My 2 cents!
I would be interested in smallbore (.22) rifle competition, unfortunately time is also a factor for me right now. I work and go to college full time, and am about to start law school. I'm going to look into the Daisy. Might have to get one.:-)

When my daughter gets older, if she's interested, I would enjoy doing air gun stuff with her. I hope she is.

You're right though, that stuff is even cheaper than sporting clays.

My son and I compete regularly in ICORE and USPSA matches. We try to shoot 3 to 4 matches a month, year round. That keeps the reloading press running pretty hard every week, but it is a great way to spend time with one of my boys.

IPSC and ICORE. I'd like to get into 3 gun also.

I shoot USPSA and a bit of ICORE. I really enjoy shooting 3 gun Heavy Metal.

I shot skeet and sporting clays until I burned out on both. I've also shot some flyers but that's really cost prohibitive!

Years ago I used the Airedales to guide on a friends preserve. I guided about two seasons. Both old Duke and Dolly (both now deceased from old age)had birdshot from head to tail from "hunters" shooting low flyers. It became too risky, for me and the dogs, to continue guiding.

I started shooting IDPA in February and have become addicted to it. So far, I've made Sharpshooter in SSP, ESP, SSR and CDP.

The wheelguns are a lot of fun in IDPA. A lot of work, but the payoff is can be very satisfying. I also believe that getting good with a double action revolver increases the level of trigger discipline and it really shows on the scoresheet.

I am an ex-clay target shooter, I shot trap, skeet, sporting clays,International trap and International skeet for a little over 20 years but got bored with it. I have been shooting IDPA and USPSA for 6 years now and shoot every chance I can. I also shoot 3 gun matches when I can.
