Massachusetts - Please Report in Here

I guess I'll start this one.

Live in SE MA, active with GOAL and belong to two gun clubs (Braintree R&P and Mansfield F&G). [Edited to change info on 2nd club. 5/21/06.]

Would be interested in some area get-togethers.

For those interested in serious self-defense training suitable for both LEOs and "normal Citizens" (who believe that they are responsible for their own protection), there are some good training opportunities coming up in 2006. Check out www.neshooters.com and look for the 2006 Calendar for details.

The Goose
I live in Burlington and am a responsible "normal citizen".

I belong to GOAL, I am a somewhat active member in that I support the organization, buy products and donate occasionally. I would like to become more active. I have also taken their Concealed Carry course with Jon Green and Darius Arbabi. Great class by the way. I belong to the Woburn Sportsmans Assoc. and am mostly into handgun shooting. I have had my LTC A for all lawful purposes for a little over a year so I am a relative newbie. I have also taken classes at AG Guns in Lowell including working on their simulator and a Combat Handgun class. I am definitely interested in more education. I am mostly into revolvers and would love to find a class that specializes in wheel guns, especially snubbies.

I am a business owner and my other hobbies are cigars and strongman training.

Would also be interested in any area get togethers.

I live in western Mass. I belong to F.C.L.S.C. in East Deerfield (Franklin county league of sportsman’s clubs) and Some times have time to shoot IDPA at the Smith and Wesson IDPA club at the Smith and Wesson Academy in Springfield. I would like to meet with and shoot with more people from Mass. if I can.

Update and Invite

I'm resurrecting the dead here . . .

For nationally recognized trainers coming to the MA/NH area, check out www.neshooters.com for the schedules. Lots of "once in a lifetime" opportunities have occurred and are planned for each year.

In 2004, I attended a 3-day class by Jim Crews (Marksmans Enterprise) . . . that was a real eye-opener and whet my appetite for more training.

In 2005, I attended a 3-day class by Randy Cain (Cumberland Tactics) which was superb.

Also in 2005, I attended 2 classes by Gabe Suarez (Suarez International) which were real eye-openers!

In 2006, I plan on attending a 1-day refresher by Gabe Suarez and another class by Louis Awerbuck, all within commuting distance of home!

This forum is the absolute best on the Internet for concealed carry issues! A good friend created another forum over the past year that focuses on the shooting issues in the Northeast corner of the US (we have some unique issues in Lib-tard land) and I invite all of you to also join us there at www.northeastshooters.com However, please do not abandon this forum, as both forums are the best out there in their respective areas of interest.

Those of us on www.northeastshooters.com have already had a few get-togethers and are planning a couple of weekend shooting events over this coming year (hopefully one in NH and one in MA).

Oh yes, even if you aren't from the Northeast, but for some strange reason you find yourself visiting MA . . . feel free to post here or PM me and perhaps we can plan a shooting get-together at Braintree R&P.

For many reasons, I dropped out of Ames R&P club last year.

For Coma, back ~1978 I shot at Franklin County League of Sportsmen's Club while I was temporarily working out at the old Yankee Rowe nuclear plant. Great group of guys and a real nice club out in G_d's Country!

Hi Ken.

This is one of my favorite forums too. Great info on CCW issues and a great group of folks here, like we have on NES.
