The Civilian Marksmanship Program announces that the 1st Western CMP Games will be hosted by the Santa Margarita Gun Club at Camp Pendleton, California on 14-15 May 2005. All shooters in the Western United States who would like to participate in a unique, national-level, CMP-sponsored Garand, Springfield and Military Rifle Match, are invited to attend.

LOCATION. The Western CMP Games Garand, Springfield and Vintage Military Rifle Matches will take place at Camp Pendleton, California. All firing will be on Range 103 (Wilcox Range).

SPONSOR & HOST. The CMP is the match sponsor. The CMP is conducting this competition in cooperation with the host of the match, the Santa Margarita Gun Club, Oceanside, California.

The Western CMP Games give shooters in the Western United States an opportunity to participate in national-level Garand, Springfield and Vintage Military Rifle Matches. The 1st Western CMP Games offer a unique, fun-oriented competition shooting experience with historic military rifles as well as a chance to inspect and select CMP government-surplus rifles.
