CFL members: Who's going to the STS117 Launch?
Anybody going to see the Atlantis launch on Friday evening? I've never seen one and my brother and I are planning on going. The closest I've been to seeing one was when they delayed Challenger in '86 and I was only two.

We will most likely be out of town. If not, we will watch from our backyard - the Atlantic Ocean. Hey, it's a terrible place to live, but somebody has to do it. (Of course, 2004 and 2005 made it a little less fun. )

I was there for the first post-Challenger launch since the payload on it was mine. If you get to see the Shuttle launch it is an experience you will never forget. Especially since you more than see it, you actually feel it if you are close enough!
Enjoy!

We're down here from Oklahoma to visit the House of the Mouse (and other attractions), and we are planning to go.
I've never been to Orlando or Disney World before, and it's quite an experience. It's a lot like Branson on crack, with Disney instead of road-weary country music stars as an anchor.

So, it seems that after 2002 they no longer allow the general public to drive up to the causeway, you have to buy tickets which sell out in a matter of minutes when they go on sale two months in advance. Guess I'll be watching from Cocoa Beach. Weak.
