Outdoor places to shoot? (MI)

Hi all....

I will be building an AR15 here really soon. I will need someplace to shoot it. I have researched the clubs in my area and have decided not to join a club. Why you ask? Because most(washtenaw county sportsman club) of the clubs require 1 round in the chamber at any given time.

I know there is a DNR range in Manchester(sharron Township) but I am kinda looking for something in my area. I am in Ypsilanti near Ann Arbor. I am looking for an outdoor range, maybe something that someone has built and is looking for some help in the upkeep of the range etc etc etc and not charge me an arm and a leg to shoot. If you know of anyone or you are that person please contact me!

Thanks!

So you want 2 or 3 in the chamber at any given time?

I guess what I should have said is they wont allow more than one in a clip..... 1 round and 1 round only...

Not looking to debate the 1 round thing, just looking for a open place to shoot that maybe I can help maintain and maybe through some money at to help with the uptake or something along that lines...

They allow a full mag at Sharronville but ask for a 1 second rule, they have 25/50 and 100 yd ranges, nice clean place to shoot and theres a Dairy Queen in Manchester for the trip home LOL

Island lake rec area has an outdoor range. 25, 50, and 100 yards. It's like $4 to shoot until your done. Kids under age X get in free. I96 west of US23. Near Kensington Metropark.

Really, one round? Seems absurd.
