I'm sure if you can find a state forest, they generally have open ranges. At least here in PA they do... all you have to go down and pay a small fee for a permit to shoot on the range. I go down there a lot and blow up stuff with the shotgun. 9 times out of 10 I'm the only one there and they really dont care what you shoot for targets, as long as you do it within the confines of the range area, and are behind the line while shooting.

Been to Bob's not bad...no rifle. Have a few friends with memberships at Lafayette...that's just a little far. I have cruised Norfolk rifle clubs website a while back but I don't hear much about it. just wondering what you guys do....I know public ranges (especially for rifle are scarce)

I am fortunate as to have 15 acres and built my own indoor 2 man range. i am from Cumberland County closest to Farmville.
