Well, I finally got my first handgun. I went to Liberty Firearms here in Hopewell to arrange having a Hi Point 9mm comp. shipped there. I ended up walking out the door with a FEG .32 acp in pretty good condition, for less money than the H.P. would've been by the time it was shipped and transferred.

The people there are great to talk to, very helpful, and it seems as though they also know how to make a sale.

Now I just need some free time to get the gun cleaned up good, get some ammo in it, and see how she shoots.

I'm still reading up on this model, but is there any way to lighten up the DA trigger pull a bit? It's not terrible, but it is a bit tight for my personal taste. If I can shave off about 5-7 Lbs. I think it'll be just right.

One other thing I'd like to do is get some different grips on it. I found a set of wrap around grips for the Walther PP, those will fit OK right?

Anyhow, I don't know when I'll have free time to shoot it, but I'll be sure to post a range report when I do.

Haha, good ol bird and dale. Your in my neck of the woods. Chester/C Heights
Straight Shooters is now The Smoking Gun. That's the indoor range I was referring to. You won't be disappointed.

Dizzy... yeah, they're salesmen at Liberty, nice folks to deal with also, not too fond of High Points.
Grips are usually weapon specific, but ya never know.

Just thought I'd update with some good news.

My CWP came in today, so now I won't have ten managers following me every time I go to wally world.

I still have to put some rounds through the FEG. I've been so busy with work, and the mile long honey-do list to get ready for x-mas... It'll be nice to break away at some point and go to the range for a while.

Ham Capital of the World

Ham Capital of the World, good ole Smithfield. Neighboring town to IP in Windsor.

I did like the idea of a barbecue get together somewhere in Virginia. Willing to drive an hour if someone can host.

Ft. Lee opens their range, same one the soldiers use, Sundays. It's across Rt. 36 from the base itself.

IWL in New Kent is now Va. Conservation Park. They are open to the public Wednesdays and Saturdays.
