I live in Montpelier and go to a range in Richmond, I think it's the Chittenden one that someone mentioned earlier. I'd be interested in getting together as well. My shooting buddy is moving out of state to go to med school and I'm gonna need someone else to shoot with. Send a PM if you guys figure out a time or place. Thanks!

Definitely wait until it's warmer. I was out shooting a few times this winter and now I'm good to wait until the temp is above 40.
I have a PVC stand I built about a month ago that I can't wait to try out. |

Just found this forum - pleased to see some locals. I recently relocated here and am currently in Fairfax and looking for some reasonable range options. Where I am there is no shooting on the property. Looking forward to possibly meeting some of the locals.

Wow. You're so close you might hear me shooting when I go out. How close to Steeple Market are you?

Up Bush Hollow a half mile, looking down on the village from the heights - across the street from the Game Warden of the Year...

I haven't checked on this thread in awhile, guess I should have. Don't suppose any body has any property we can use eh?
If people want to get together, that'd be kinda interesting. Have to give more than enough notice though, since if it's at a range I'll have to join. |

VtCO, I would absolutely LOVE to invite you guys with me, but I shoot at my parent's house, and while my dad would be fine with it, my mother doesn't like people she doesn't know at her house. That's why they have a huge wrought iron fence. |

Well, keep us posted if anything changes or any one has an idea. Love to meet some folks who enjoy the same things I do. Pretty rare in this state.

I generally go to chittenden county fish and game club about once a month. I would love to meet up with you guys for a shoot though.
IF you dont have a membership, I think its 30 dollars for the year. Might be a little bit of a drive from fairfax though. There's also the shotgun range in williston that has trap and five stand. Fun stuff even though I am pretty **** poor and hitting those clays.

Hi Guys,
As I said in an earlier post, Underhill is a decent club, as is Franklin County, but the closest target at both is 25 yards. I figure, though, if I can hit at that range, I can hit at 7 yards for sure. I'm going to Underhill now for an hour or two. Talk to you later.
