Ha!! Guess I had something else occupying my subconscience. Buck Hollow is correct - actually off Buck Hollow on Village View.

I wonder what that could have been.

Are you watching the fireworks this year? They're being set off from a field on my parent's property. My mother was in this week's Fairfax newspaper talking about it, I guess they have one of the guys that does the Burlington show doing ours this year.

Where they're firing them from is about 1000 yards or so from where I shoot.

We can usually see them from the front porch. If they're changing the location we'll have to see since I don't know where they're coming from this year. But I can see most of the village from where I am. I'll have to pick up a copy of the news when I go to breakfast at the Pantry on Thursday morning.

You should be able to see them better than last year. They used to fire them from Swanson's nursery which is almost across the street (and down the hill) from my parents. Now they'll be fired from a slightly closer, higher elevation.

I was actually just on Buck Hollow twice today. I took a trip up your private road to see the view and see if I could see my parent's place. You live in a nice neighborhood. My parents house is somewhere on the otherside of those two big barns. I'm sure you've seen it, everyone in Fairfax knows their house. They have a big gate.

I must say, I was uncomfortable going up there. Almost like it was an invasion of privacy or something.

Isn't that the way all "Private Roads" make one feel? We get mountain gawkers all the time. The view is nice, I admit.

It is a very nice view up there. I almost went the wrong way through the circle at the end, because I was staring out over the town. But I couldn't see mine or my parents house from there. I'm on Michelle Road, on the other side of my parent's house from you. We get a lot of gawkers up here too because it's a new road and people aren't used to it being here.

Just joined the forum, and surfing while watching the Red Sox game. I'm in Fairfax also, out on Goose Pond Road.

AH so. I can see most of Michelle from my office - and just a peice of your parents place. My office sits about 30 feet higher than the road level so that would explain why you couldn't see them.

Welcome yellolab. Pretty soon we'll have enough just from Fairafx for a posse.
