Question Need adviise from NOVA members

Thinking of staying at the Americana Hotel on Jefferson Davis Hwy.In the Crystal City section of Arlington.Rates are good and it's close to a Metro stop.
The pictures on their web site look great but would like any in person opinions you might have.
Is the place really a "dump"? Is it on a street with a lot of noise??
ANY info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Depends on why you're staying there. The Sheraton National is only a mile or so away and is quite a bit nicer and still only around $100 a night for a decent room(obviously not counting tax etc...). And if you get a room on an upper floor (basically anything from 3 and up) that faces DC you have quite a view of the AF monuments, Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery, The National Mall, and the Capitol, etc...

Thanks to both.

I'll try the Sheraton.
