642 to test shoot in Marietta or nearby?

I've not been able to locate a local range where I can rent a S&W 642 to test shoot so I can decide whether or not to purchase. Does anyone know where I might find one to rent? I understand they may be a challenge to shoot and since I'm a newbie to firearms and have only been shooting semi-automatics as I learn about firearms - not a revolver of any kind yet - I have been advised to only go 25 rounds at the range with this gun the first time.

Maybe I'm being overly cautious since I'm considering my first firearms purchase but the wise folks on this site counseled me to try it first since it would be something I would commit to be a primary ccw. Thank you for any advice.

While qualifying for my permit, the instructor/LEO had one and was generous in letting me try it out. I liked it, save the problem of it being so light that it hurt my hand with the recoil. Other handguns I own and carry seem to have the mass to distribute the recoil better.

Your mileage may vary...
