Yeah. You could walk out of my apartment, close your eyes and walk in any direction, and end up in a good pub or bar. The neighborhood was also full of stewardesses (is the plural "stewerdi"?). I was single in those days as well. It really is a great neighborhood although rent has gotten ridiculous. I was in a rent stabilized 1-bedroom back in the mid 1990's, so I was fortunate.
