Welcome. With those kind of rules I can see why you wouldn't bother getting a permit. You might consider one if for no other reason than the ability to carry in the 14 other states that honor the MD permit. Something to think about.

Liberty Gal (and folks),

For web sites that cover things like this check in the "Related Links" section accessible from the lower blue bar above. There is a section in there on CCW related sites, which includes Maryland Shall Carry and many more.

hi to all and as i understand it the legislature makes the rules. i have seen shall issue proposed and it never seems to get anywhere. The recoprocity (sp?) issue i thik is also included in the bill. the legislature is controlled by the dems and they love gun control as we all know

I have reread the posts adn HR 218 allows me to carry coutry wide even after i become totally retired. All i have to do is qualonce a year on either a auto or revolver or both and them im good. I just did so on the 20th of june even though im already quald with the sheriffs dept. I did with both because i learned as an army chopper driver you can never be too prepared. keep the faith all

Welcome

Igor, I have been here only a few weeks. As many have welcomed me, I welcome you. I'm in Virginia maybe we'll run across each other someday. My respects to you as a fellow officer.
