Welcome, Eva. Former Louisiana resident here. Spent 14 years in New Orleans before moving back home to Alabama. My wife was not familiar with guns when we started the journey toward concealed carry. I just had her shoot several of mine a few times. I did not try to teach her to shoot. First of all I'm not qualified to do that, but more importantly it doesn't usually work. We took the NRA Basis Pistol course together and I stayed out of the way. She learned and is a much better shot than I am.

The key is to get training. Hope you enjoy your time at CC.

You sound like you're on the right track and have a good plan. Keep on it. The folks on this forum will always be here to help, and to cheer you along.

I am especially impressed by your intention to shoot quite a few handguns before deciding which to get. You'll savor the experience and save a lot of money.

Of course, you may just decide you like'em ALL, for different reasons. Then you'll be off and running toward an addiction/affliction/affection/conditon that is absolutely incurable.

No problem , It just took a lot of work ( via pms from old time forum members ) to keep P95Carry ( Chris ) from posting the famous pic of him in shorts , socks , and sandals as an example of how to do it . When you see the pic ( and i am shure you will ) Just realise its not a required dress code at any range i am aware of LOL

Now ill go run and hide from Chris LOL
