QKShooter hit it on the head. Having come from a shotgun background myself I know what you mean about the trigger. I think you would be much happier with a commander style 45. However I took the opposite route and dedicated enough time to get comfortable with the Glock trigger and that is what I carry. Good luck on your search.
Mike

I agree that the XSE Commander is in order as the Govt model has a Stainless frame and is a bit heavier....
BTW welcome....

Enough about my SIGs, you asked about the SIG GSR. There are three recent threads concerning the GSR. The links are below: http://www.combatcarry.com/vbulletin...&highlight=GSR http://www.combatcarry.com/vbulletin...&highlight=GSR http://www.combatcarry.com/vbulletin...&highlight=GSR

You guys have been lots of help.
I've narrowed my search to the "Commander" size 1911 with 4-41/4" barrel. I haven't found one yet that has all the goodies I want. One of those is night sites. I imagine one of the manufacturers makes such a model...I just haven't found it yet. I also want to stay in the 28 oz. range. Thanks again for all the help. |

Im going to agree with Lumberjack 98, the XD is a very great platform, and I think you would find the trigger agreeable with your experiance shooting the shotguns. A 4'' or subcompact would be a great choice for carry.
However, the most important thing is to find something that you are comfortable and competant with. Good luck choosing.
