I'm from the northern part of OC. Lived in Huntington Beach for a while.
We're fortunate that, although not a 'shall issue' county, OC's Sheriff Mike Carona has made it extremely feasible for any decent person to get a CCW. Compared to the other urban counties in the state, it's like night and day. Still, there are relatively few permits (under 1500) in OC, mostly because people out here just don't think it's even possible to get a CCW. I wish it were Florida-style out here, but, hey, this is a start. |
